Digital Assistants in Consensual Debating

Why will we need politicians in the near future? In a few years’ time we will have digital assistants far superior to anything we have right now, like IBM’s Watson or Open AI’s GPT-3 -natural language processor. They could propose vastly superior solutions or make much better decisions to any human participant or a politician’s advisor. Initially, they may be assigned a role of participants in the Consensual Debating and make proposals alongside human participants.

The advantage that politician have at the moment over an average citizen may be a better education, knowledge and experience in politics, although not necessarily experience in real life. What would be the advantage of career politicians over randomly selected citizens (with appropriate criteria) if he is supported by a digital assistant having superior knowledge to any human in many domains of a human activity? Will we need politicians at all?
